Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it. Proverbs 22:6 |

Classes begin in September and run through May. Pre-registration through the Religious Education Office is necessary before being assigned to a classroom. All Holy Family Parish children who do not attend a Catholic school can be registered in the Religious Education CCD Program.
Grade School 1-5
There are three sessions to choose from: Tuesday afternoon, 4:00-5:15, Tuesday evening, 6:15-7:30, and Wednesday afternoon, 4:00-5:15. Classes are held at Holy Family School. Our Textbook Series, "Coming to Faith", presents our Catholic faith in an accurate and authentic way consistent with the age and readiness of the child. With the aid of our textbook and other available resources, our Catholic faith is passed on to our children to help them become knowledgeable and active members of the Body of Christ.
Classes begin with grade one, and are built upon in each subsequent grade. The Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist are received in the second grade.
Junior High Grades 6-8
Classes meet on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-7:45 at Holy Family School. The Junior High teaching team meets one evening each month to plan lessons and activities and share ideas.
Our curriculum is based on Scripture and on the Catechism of the Catholic Church. We use the textbook, Our Catholic Identity, plus a wide variety of other resources available to teachers.
Through this Christ-centered curriculum based on prayer and faith development, the students discover how a relationship with Jesus is important and relevant for their lives. A variety of activities and discussions provide challenges and opportunities appropriate for the middle school student.
It is a great privilege to have a part in shaping the faith of a child through modeling, proclaiming and teaching that faith. If you are interested in being a part of our Religious Education program, please call.
For children who have not attended classes in the past, and/or have not been baptized or received their First Reconciliation or First Communion, please call the Religious Education office at 397-9395. We have all the necessary resources and materials needed to update and prepare the older child for Sacraments.
