Science

The first grade classrooms utilize the Harcourt Science textbooks and workbooks. The first graders study living and nonliving things, plants, animals, environment, earth, weather, seasons, matter, energy and forces. Social Studies

We use the Houghton Mifflin Text and content materials.

Social Studies concepts are also covered through many of the other subjects such as religion and science. We also utilize the "Weekly Reader" series and the "Weekly Reader" Map Skills for Today.
