Holy Family students are encouraged to obtain
a card for their city public library . Families who are Rockford residents
can register at the main library or any of the neighborhood branches. Students
should fill out the registration form and take it to one of the RPL branches.
A parent with a photo ID must accompany a student who is under thirteen.
Those who have the old cards will be issued a new one when they take the
old ones in to the library.
The data bases of the RPL are accessable with
the new cards. Students with RPL numbers will be able to go online
and use them for research from home or school. Students from other libraries
or those who do not have a library card can get a number for the purpose
of accessing these data bases. Junior high students will be using their
numbers for research in class.
