The English text book focuses on the parts of speech. In addition to using the text book, students will be involved in writing assignments weekly. The students will work with the
writing process to develop skills in brain storming, editing and publishing
their work. Paragraph writing is incorporated in all areas of the curriculum. Students will be working on five paragraph essays, creative writing, research
papers, and speech writing.
Writing Guidelines
- Students will turn in every stage of their assignment (pre-writing, rough draft, editing, and final)
- Lines are to be skipped for all drafts except the final draft.
- Final copies are to be hand written in cursive using blue or black ink.
