CLASS ACTIVITIES

Class will begin with attendance and prayer.  The "Wednesday Review " questions will be given immediately after prayer.  The class will discuss the previous subject assigned, and anything seen or heard in the media that parallels with that subject.  Homework will be graded, discussed, and collected on a daily basis.  New lessons are introduced and homework assigned.  If time allows, students may start the assignment and ask questions.  Three main subjects will be taught during the year.

PARTICIPATION & WEDNESDAY REVIEW

Class participation includes being involved in class discussions (answering questions, asking questions, partner and group discussion), active listening skills, and the daily Wednesday Review.

The Wednesday Review covers information from the previous class period.  This short review sheet will be completed immediately after class prayer and before beginning the new lesson.  Students must be present in class to receive participation points.

HOMEWORK

Daily homework will be assigned each Wednesday during class and is to be turned in Friday during Physical Education class.  Enrichment sheets, summaries, and reviews to prepare for tests are given for each unit.  Class projects might include such activities as group work, oral or written reports, hands-on-projects, etc.

PROJECTS

Students will be assigned a class project each quarter.  This project will be based on the unit being studied at the time the assignment is made.  The project may be presented in many forms including written or oral reports, game activity, video, infomercial, skit, one act play, etc.
