WARM-UP EXERCISE

The class performs various stretching exercises to ‘loosen up’ the body.

Warm-up exercises are essential to build overall fitness.

Class exercises emphasize cardiovascular endurance and muscular strength and endurance.

These exercises spark physical and mental readiness for the days activities.

DAILY ACTIVITY

After the above activities are completed, we discuss the activity and expectations for the day.

The specific skill is explained and demonstrated so the students not only hear, but see the skill in action.

Students are given ample opportunities to participate, practice, demonstrate and perform specific skills.

Many times skills are performed individually, with partners or as an entire class.

Students begin class with 5 stars.

Stars are deducted if the student chooses not to earn them in class.
