They identify and properly use equipment.
They explore activities that lead to a healthy lifestyle.
The following skills will be covered during the first
grade year.

- identify selected body parts, skills, and movement
concepts.
- combine basic locomotor and non-locomotor movement
patterns.
- introduce smooth transitions between sequential motor skills.
- participate in activities that utilizes various manipulatives.
- use control in balance and travel activities.
- develop importance of practice in learning new skills
- participates in individual, partner and team activities.
- participate in activities that improve physical
fitness.
- respect the abilities of self and others.
