The latest
edition of Scott Foresman-Addison Wesley Mathematics text is utilizied.
Third grade math
curriculum emphasizes, but is not limited to, the continued practices of:
basic addition and subtraction facts 0-18, telling time, counting money,
and identifying place values. Addition and subtraction computation
skills include regrouping with multi-digit numbers. Critical thinking
skills are promoted using student-created and text supplied word and story
problems. Multiplication and division fact tables 0-10 are introduced and
developed throughout the second semester.
The Accelerated
Math computerized program supplements our curriculum.
