Service Projects
As part of the Catholic character of Holy Family
Catholic School, we encourage and model for our students the importance of
acting as Jesus would and helping those less fortunate than ourselves.
Each year our classroom adopts an organization as a christian ministry project
that is not school wide. As a class we will have collections, create
cards or crafts, and more for the people involved in the chosen organization.
As we go through the year, we will probably be collecting
a lot of items for donation. Seeing as this is a fourth grade ministry
project and not a parent project, I would like that parents support me in
having your child donate items. If the children don't have the
items to donate please make sure they earn the money to buy the items, or
earn the items themselves by doing extra chores or jobs. Please don't
make any donations without your child earning it or the lesson is lost.
Remember, it's not the amount that's donated, but the
meaning behind the donation that counts.
